I am sorry to see this, Mike. Those are wonderful sets. I hope they turn up.
How disappointing Mike, Eyes will be open.

Shocking; I hope they are recovered!
Hopefully easy to ID.
Must be getting worse, a couple of other forums also reported postal thefts this week. New Jersey and Memphis.

Of all the potential coins to target for theft, they chose these? Some if thr MOST unique and recognizable coins im the entire marketplace? Something doesn’t add up here, it’s not even like they were being delivered to “PCGS” or “Heritage Auctions” , where the label indicates the nature of the contents.
Nor was it a sizable chunk of gold that would easily register on a metal detector …. I don”t really want to be the one to say it out loud, but the implications are worrisome. It’s hard to believe that something like this was carried out without a buyer or fence already lined up to flip it quickly.

wow, those errors are unique and will 'eventually' be found. So sad.
I received 3 slashed boxes in the mail this month, 2 different senders but all in the same week. All 3 had an identical 4-5" cut in the side. Someone's being very bold.

Yes, Gerry Fortin mentioned in his blog today that the box was cut out from the padded envelope yesterday at a Memphis post office servicing the collector who was to receive that coin! Ugh!!!!
