Oh no...not another will it CAC thread!

I purchased this 1828 B-2 Bust quarter raw. Our host graded it F12. Now the value added (from a bean) pales in comparison to the two beautiful Morgan dollars in the other thread. Is it worth the trip?

Is the color in your images representative of the coin’s true appearance?

    Yes...
Taken with my cellphone. I personally think its aesthetically pleasing. My initial grading instinct was VG10. It's nice to cherry pick a tougher variety occasionally.

Thank you. My guess is that the coin won’t sticker, due to obverse marks and the color. I’d be glad to be wrong.

While I like the coin, my guess is it’s not worth the trip.

I don’t think it will sticker.

The color is dark but doesn’t look natural to my eyes.

Also, I don’t think it’s details are particularly strong for the grade.

    Thanks guys...
I'll probably skip the trip to New Jersey. Still a neat addition to my collector grade bust quarter set.

I really like your bust quarter but don't think it will CAC. I have no problem with it as a 12 but don't see it as a solid Fine.

I'm hoping it's a bad picture. It almost looks tooled

I like the look too and I think if it did not sticker it would only be because they also thought it should be VG10. Bit of a slider between grades. Nice find though!

At least on my screen, the coin looks pinkish orange. Are you sure the lighting is not giving it that color?

Are these a bit better photos? They're still done with my cellphone camera.

The dark outline around the bust or something else? I think the bust is just surrounded by dirt and/or showing a bit of a shadow from a light at 2:00.

    “Did not pass CAC”

My best guess when you get it back.
