I am going to post four coins that I sent for grading to PCGS. The grading is finished and I already got the grades and the images.
Posting one of the coins a 2R, from this image what grade do you think it is?
In hand the coin looks way better.
I will post the other ones later.
Thank you for your help!

This is the image for the 2R, noticed the new color or toning added to the coin, that by the way, all four have the same color added, which does not look good to me.
Now per this image, what grade it is?
Here it is the second coin, a 4R. This is the image I have before was sent for grading:
What grade?
This is the image for the graded coin, again on this image what grade it is? also the color is not good.
4 Franken, my original image:
What grade can this get, per the image above?
The PCGS image, and what grade like this?:
And the fourth coin, here is my image:
Again, what grade from the original and the PCGS one can be?.
I will post later the grades I got from PCGS for each coin.
And to comment, the True Views Images are terrible.
TVs are very poor here.
This is my first impression grade guesses.

Thank you Clio!.
You have better grades than the ones from PCGS, in most of the coins, I already sent them some comments about the terrible images of the TVs and the grade each coin got.
Edit: Do you use both of the images of each coin to come up with a grade number?
Based on images, those would have been my guesses, as well.

Yeah, I mean the 1787 I think the TVs show the fields more honestly but otherwise it was a little easier to see the coins with your original photos.

Thank you @TwoKopeiki!
Here are the grades for each coin:
Was expecting better grades.
Just to compare the 2R with another one in MS62:
Why did mine come up as AU53? will try to find another in AU53 to compare also with that as similar.
PCGS will often use AU53 as a net grade. My guess is an old cleaning that has since toned over. The fields above the globes do look a bit wipey.
I am not sure I agree on the 1787 in XF45 but I have noticed that I estimate those portraits high in comparison to PCGS.
Willing to defer to their expertise on the verdict on the last two. Hard to grade 100% off images.
Thanks for sharing.

Cannot find an AU53 here it is an AU55:
Also none graded by PCGS.
10-4
If I compare my coin with the MS62 to me it looks at least close to the fields and details are way similar. If I compare it with the AU55 no way this looks really bad compared to my coin.
Well it is what it is, bad that these four coins were not cheap, this can go on coinlover101 regret topic, next time to take more time and to waste/spend my money that I will regret later.
Thanks!
Eluis,
I don't see the TV color as a negative on the 1761 2 Reales, in fact I find it pleasing.
I didn't get the chance to guess the grades before you posted the results however my assessment would have been as follows:
AU55 of the 1761 2 reales
XF45 / AU53 on the 1787 4 Reales (I was a bit split on this one for grade, but if you look at the coin the obverse is 45ish and the reverse is 55ish, though the grading companies tend to weight the obverse condition more heavily when grading in my opinion) I think an AU53 grade could certainly be argued for this coin, but conversely there is no doubt that it's a solid for the grade 45, which to me makes it attractive. I'll always prefer a solid for the grade coin over a coin that's a stretch for the grade.
The other coins are outside my area of collecting but guessed MS62 & AU53 respectively.
Nice coins congrats!

Seems we have some exhibits to advance the difficulty in grading a coin from an image argument.
Comments... the 1761 2R looks to have been net graded. 53 seems fair
To answer your question as to the 62 you posted in comparison to your coin... at least from the images, it is about the difference in the quality of the surfaces.
The 1787 4R seems better than 45 but I can't handicap the surfaces to offer a helpful or accurate opinion.
And in looking at the Swiss/Lucern and the Naples/Sicily, again it is hard to measure the quality of the surfaces.
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.
Thanks!
What I do not understand is as to why all the four coins came up with basically the same color on the images, that it is what I call terrible, but it is just me.
On many of my previous coins that I sent for grading before 2023, the coins on the true views images looked the same or very close, maybe still is the issue of getting the TVs with a yellow color.
At least on the 4R it is the top one at PCGS.
On the Naples & Sicily coin noticed the first two and my coin at the end, the color on the first two it is how my coin looks maybe with more bright:
I am going to move on.
Thank you!
Man, sometimes it’s a crap-shoot! To be fair, your pillar 2R I could have seen anywhere from 55-63. I think 53 is too low
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
And to compare with another 12 Carlini PCGS AU50:
Not possible that my coin can be the same grade as this one.
Agreed the Naples-Sicily should of graded higher. If it was cleaned it should of been graded as such
I asked by opening a request case, for what I think it is not good first the yellow color on all four coins that all look the same and also the low grades again to me.
Got the auto response for the case, but zero answer or reply, I saw the coins in the QA phase, today got the mail that was shipped with the tracking number, but there was simply no communication at all about my request.
So, one as a customer has to live with this, to be ignored by PCGS.
I waited a long time to start sending my coins again. I make groups of four coins, six groups, I sent the first one with the four coins that I posted on this topic and still have other coins that I want to send for grading too.
Always using the express service.
Since I do not like the results and the zero attention by them, I will stop sending any of my raw coins for grading.
Will see when I end up sending any coin for grading again.
To all that commented here with your knowledge, expertise and experience, I really appreciate it, for that thank you!.
If you find that you simply can't live with the less than expected grade or unnaturally toned look of the respective true view photo for that Charles III 1787 4 Reales, please, just let me know, I'd be happy to buy it.
