For those who are more knowledgeable, I have a question: what do you think of the ancient coins from Wallachia that are sold on eBay from the period 1350 to 1500? Do you think they are reliable? Many are uncertified and others are, but those that are not certified have relatively low prices. Maybe I would buy some if I can authenticate them, I am very interested in the subject, especially the period before and after the reign of Vlad III.

In theory it shouldn't be a problem as some of those coins are not so rare, like Radu I. But if you don't know the coins very well, buying from eBay is a risk.
Some idea for buy this type of coins with good price and authentic?
I bought this one on eBay. It’s a Wallachia coin. It’s Mircea del Bertrand the Old (Elder.) It’s the grandfather of Vlad the Impaler (the historic character that Dracula is based on.) This is one of the coins most likely to have been used during the reign of Vlad III, since no coins were minted in any quantity during the the reign of Vlad or his father. The Radu line produced other coins that likely also circulated during that time.
I bought it raw, had it certified. I expected XF, came back 35. My stipulation is that I could see the details of his face and the orb and his body. The strike on these is all over the place, I’ve never seen a REALLY great strike, but they probably exist.
I'm BACK!!! Used to be Billet7 on the old forum.
