I may be weird but CC became a likely HOFer for me when he pitched on short rest as a rent a player down the stretch for the Brewers. He was a free agent at the end of the year and put his arm on the line in a way many players would have balked at putting that team on his back.
C.C. was a gamer and throwback to bygone baseball eras. More to him than simply the stat lines.
Who was the POS that did not vote for Ichiro???
