Couple Medals for ID

No clue about the Jefferson, can't find a similar example anywhere, but it is silver plated nickel and 70mm. The Chicago medal is interesting because I've never seen the '1934 Edition' stamp on the reverse before. Does seem matte as well. Any help is sincerely appreciated! Thank you.

The Jefferson medal I gave 10 minutes of research and couldn't find anything useful but the Chicago 1934 exposition medal is fairly well known and I found this.

  • Thank you very much. Now I just wish I could find an example of the 1934 Edition online for valuation.

Depending on condition, possibly 75-95 bucks, IMO. How's the rim and edge dings? Obv looks cleaned and the guy has contact marks. Good luck. Peace Roy

  • Thank you, Roy! Obviously cleaned? Probably my poor photography. Almost everything bronze comes out orange looking. My William Penn medal I have attached as an example. Any tips? Both much darker in hand. Still haven't seen the '1934 Edition' stamp elsewhere so I am thinking about sending it out for grading. Rim is good, minimal edge nicks. Again, thank you kindly for the response.

  • Wow! Thank you very much. Not as rare as I thought, I suppose.

  • I really have to thank everyone who has helped here. Listed the Chicago medal and it has already been purchased. Sincerely appreciated.

The 1934s seem to be considerably scarcer but I think that the supply still exceeds a very small demand, so the price isn't much higher than the 1933.

I'd presume less demand for a second year of issue and the 1934 stamp could have been a way to try to boost slow 1933 sales and get rid of inventory. I don't think that it worked and the 1934s may be much scarcer, but not enough collectors care for it to command a premium.
