Again, I want to thank all of you for your input and patience
on my novice questions. On this quarter I'm not sure if the date was struck more than once, or maybe a worn die?
Don't matter how you do it, just do it like you know it!

No.
You can't have just the date struck more than once, the whole coin would have to be double struck and
there would be signs of that showing on other parts of the quarter. It is a spender.
The OP @mensareject should read that statement carefully and ask questions if unclear.
Looks like machine doubling.

Yes, doubling is present but it's die wear or machine doubling.
Looking at truly double struck (certified) errors might help you in differentiating between the two.
Double struck (and double die) coins.
