Valuation of 1905-O vs. 1905-S Barber Dimes

A while ago I posted a string along the lines that coins are not always correctly valued. I used the example of the 1905-O and 1905-S Barber dimes. Since then the 1905-O has dropped another $250 two times and is now $2,500. The 1905-S remains the same at $1,650. Populations have not changed. Interestingly, there are also more 1905-Os in MS67 (4+3) than 1905-S (4+1).
"One only needs to look at the PCGS Barber Dime Price Guide to see coins within a series do go up and down in value.
An example, the 1905-O with a MS66 population of 21+6 and valued at $3,250 has been overvalued for a long time when compared to the 1905-S with a MS66 population of 9+4 and valued at $$1,650. Sure enough, it went down another $250 since the last price guide."

When I had a Barber Dime registry set, I had a harder time finding a nice 1905-O than a nice 1905-S. I don't even remember what my 1905-O looked like - probably MS62 or so? I still have the 1905-S. It's a PCGS MS64 example that's nice for the grade.
Most likely it the availability of the 1905-S lower grades (390 vs. 320 in all grades) that is contributing to the disparity.
Maybe by you continuing to point out this anomaly has caused the Price Guide guru’s to lower the prices of the overpriced mint coin?
