As it goes without saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, this coin has all of the features to dispute that. This 1875 Seated Liberty Half features a lovely tone of sapphire blue hues paired with silky smooth surface and thick shimmering luster. A very popular choice as a type coin, it certainly has everything one needs - color, GEM grade, OGH, CAC and eye appeal.

This coin definitely deserves a place in a collection where a single high quality example of the No Motto Liberty Seated Half Dollar is required. It is a very high end example, as evidenced by the CAC green bean. What is most surprising is how rare this date is in grades above MS65. With a CAC POP of 3 and none finer, we dare say, and most would also agree that this is one of, if not the finest 1875 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. We are also confident that this would grade better than MS66 today, but we rather prefer this in an OGH. There are no relevant comparables except for 2 CAC examples, one for $7,050 and another for $15,275 in 2014 and 2012 respectively, with no CAC or PCGS finer graded than this example.
