Guess How Many Proofs I will Find in my Box of Dollars

Here is the box that I bought today. I have found seven proofs in the first three rolls. I want guesses on how many you think that I will find in the rest of the box plus the seven. There are two rolls that are mint rolls, so they can’t have any proofs, so there are 38 possible rolls to find them in.

I look for proofs, 1981s, and innovation dollars, as well as multiple varieties. I mostly throw the common NIFCs back, but I keep some of the nice ones.

Thanks for showing! Helps ascertain the source of the coins as being from a collection carelessly dumped.

I finally finished the box and was shocked with a total of 37 proofs, or 3.7%. They break down as follows: 1980-S(1), 2000-S(3), 2001-S(7), 2002-S(6), 2003-S(9), 2004-S(4), 2005-S(2), 2006-S(3), and 2008-S(James Monroe)(2). All except the two 2008s are in very nice condition, leading me to believe that they are all from the same source. I believe that someone must have emptied a bunch of proof sets from the 1980 to 2006 timeframe and then spent the coins. The two 2008s are very scuffed and I believe that they were coincidental. I also found two 1979-P close rim dollars and two innovation dollars for my set. @relicsncoins came the closest with 17, but no-one guessed anything between 17 and 89! Thanks for participating everyone!

The fact that many proofs end up in circulation are a testament to how proof coins are seen by many, especially the higher mintage proof coins. I think a lot of people have lost respect for the bread and butter proof set products and stuff like this shows the US Mint needs to focus its proof or special finish energies on stuff that will not ultimately find its way into circulation.

No, this was a post-Christmas drop off. I've also gotten a $5 silver certificate and someone's rolled president dollar collection, now this. People spend stuff after Christmas.
