Mercury dime pop quiz

We just watched an old episode of Jeopardy. They showed a Mercury dime and asked if they knew which ancient god this coin was associated with?
One guessed Apollo.
One guessed Athena.
Last one didn't try.
Without looking it up (I had to when my wife asked), What is the actual name of a Mercury Dime?

Winged Liberty
Joe.
Not sure if this is the answer you are looking for but I thought the original
name was a “Winged Mercury Dime” showing a young Liberty.
Just looked it up, guess I was wrong, unclejoe was correct.
Winged Liberty Head to symbolize freedom of thought.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
"Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value---zero."----Voltaire
"Everything you say should be true, but not everything true should be said."----Voltaire
There's more to it though. It's Lady Liberty and not mercury from what I understand
People mistakenly thought it was the winged Roman god Mercury so that is where it got its name….(thanks Wikipedia…😉)
👍
My Redbook calls it Winged Liberty Head or "Mercury Type. The winged part was news to me but makes sense. I just thought it was funny because I was laughing at the contestants for their guesses and then couldn't answer the wife's question. James
And it's a Liberty head cent. Just sayin.
