Gareth Harney - A History of Ancient Rome in Twelve Coins

I was reading my daily 1440 email while enjoying my oatmeal this morning and there was a link to an excerpt of this newly published (like last week newly published) book. First of all, it's always cool when a coin related book finds its way into the mainstream, so congrats to Gareth for making this happen. Had anyone heard of this before it was published? I'm not really a follower of ancients, so you'll have to excuse me if this was common knowledge and dispense with the "well duh" responses.

The sample text certainly is wonderful.

I'm always amazed at how well dies could be engraved that long ago. Simply amazing.

    Peace
