American silver coints

Hello

A relative that emigrated from Sweden to America in the 50s has left some silvercoins for me. Im wondering if theres any value above the scrap silver value.

Yes, the US silver dollars are worth more than scrap value.

  • So much more that its wort an effort for these few coins to get them evaluated ? Tried to look around but not so many stores here in my town in Sweden dealing with american coins exactly.

They don't appear to be that valuable. Silver dollars such as those generally trade between 25 and 35 dollars. Silver coinage of the US would go at roughly 20 times face value.

Which ones? I doubt any coin shop would pay more than melt for common date culls right now.

It's close. Upstate is at $22.75 (buy) for culls. That probably leaves most BMs at the 90 price. F/ better would still have a premium (upstate at $27.50 for pre-21 and $26 for 1921s)

Those coins are not worth enough over melt to justify spending time or money trying to get much more than melt, especially in Sweden. If you have a local coin dealer check to see how much he would pay. If he offers anything that seems reasonable take the money and move on.

A little different take. Check the dates and mintmarks on the Peace Dollar Reverses you provided. Should a key date, suchas 1921, appear, then definitely a keeper. Don't sell until you have done so. If you wish, take a better photo of the two Peace Dollar reverses and obverses(not the 1922) and repost them here for better info. JMO
