Salvador Perez not even on the list when he had 27 hr and 104 rbi? Brian Kenney must be completely off his rocker. They’ve got a guy for Atlanta who missed most of the year in the top 10. It’s like they must have decided Salvy was too old and put a bunch of young players on the list. Contreras for the Brewers is fine at number 1 and Adley and the Astro’s catcher is really good but a lot of other players don’t belong. Here’s their list followed by where another site has Salvy number 3.

So, what, you're PO'd cause your guy wasn't mentioned?? The Indians just lost in the AL Championship series and I'm not even sure who their catcher IS!!
I put zero stock in all these experts and their lists. In the end it's just an opinion and you know what they say about opinions, right??
Bo Naylor- Josh’s brother. He isn’t very good.
.
The Royals backup catcher Freddie Fermin is actually better than some on that list. I believe Freddie has the highest caught stealing percentage in MLB, and he’s a pretty good hitter.
Is Sal going to be the primary Catcher? I thought he played some 1st and DH.
And these click bait rankings are like preseason polls. Just like bungholes, everyone has one and they all smell.
He catches 90-95 games a year the last couple years. It’s nice KC does have a really good backup in Fermin so Salvy doesn’t have to catch every day. Should extend his career a few years.
Oh Wow...
GRP commenting on a Baseball topic... That's Crazy...
I can remember when Prime 9 1st aired and I would Bitch & Complain to the TV, and my P's asked me: Who are you talking to???
🤣😭🙃
Catchers are often overlooked and underappreciated... Walker Cooper, Smoky Burgess, Del Crandall just to name a few.

Good group, and you could add Sherm Lollar. Lots of very good catchers got overshadowed by Campanella and Berra and are largely forgotten today.
I was going to mention Lollar… and then I thought about Ed Bailey and in hindsight I should have mentioned both of them.
I completely agree that these guys deserve more attention. And in giving them the attention they deserve, it clearly illustrates there was significant talent at the position. As an example, the season Burgess had in 1954 was exceptional. The same can be said of WalkerCooper with the Cards in the 1942-44 time frame and later with the Giants in 1947.
