Another question for the Trade Collectors- anyone seen these features on genuine examples?

The 1st is the major marker I am seeing on a family of different dated CC Trade dollars. I call it the "dotted N":
The 2nd one is always seen on these as well- a depression in the "A":
I have images of every date from 1873-1878 and an "1871" ...
Thanks for any help; looking to write an article on these in the near future!

I don't recall seeing either of those features on any genuine example.

I just wish I had a cc I could check!

One looks like a round dot. Were they used to ID dies. Why are they on the 1884 dollar?
That's new to me as well. I don't know where to find a web site to help either 🤔
There is a fantastic and comprehensive T$ book that is on the near term horizon. It will help with many of these questions.

Never seen a depression on the "A", but seems like I have maybe seen a dot over the "N". If I can find a photo of it I will post it.

I guess I was wrong, I found quite a few with something over the "N", but not a perfect dot like Jack presented.

I haven't seen that before, and I have looked pretty closely at the reverses of mine. Looks like a useful marker!
I did save a pic of this 76-cc fake from eBay in my Rogue's gallery:

Yes, fake. Dentils detached from the rim and mushy tells me all I need to see.

Looks like a match down to the "spaghetti" hair! Can you tell me when you 1st saw that one?
Also, may I use an image of this post for my article?
Thanks- Jack.
HI Jack, I saved the photos on 2/2/2023. Feel free to use the images. here is one of the obverse and one of the edge also.

If they are raw buyer beware.
