The NFL's Rooney Rule requires teams to interview at least two diverse candidates for head coach positions, including people of color and women. The rule was created to increase the diversity of NFL leadership.

Explanation:
The Rooney Rule was adopted in 2003 and named after Dan Rooney, the former owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The rule was created in response to the firings of Tony Dungy and Dennis Green in 2002. A study showed that Black head coaches were less likely to be hired and more likely to be fired than white coaches.

The rule has been amended over time to include more positions and groups.

The rule also includes requirements for coordinator and executive positions.

Requirements:
Teams must interview at least two diverse candidates in person for head coach and general manager positions.

Teams must interview at least two diverse candidates for coordinator positions, either in person or virtually.

If Deion does get hired to be the Cowboys HC, how long before he goes the full Lebron route with telling teams to not draft his son so they end up together? Dallas owns the 12th pick and would probably be offering Dak and his bloated contract to move up.

Him "Telling" any team anything will. be laughable, if anything they will make it more lucrative for themselves to get Deion what he wants

Of course teams could (and probably would) tell him to go pound sand but we've seen instances where a QB didn't want to go to certain places and got their wish (Elway & Eli.)

I know that thinking about the whole scenario is a bit farfetched but there's been talk about this possibly happening for the past year (not Dallas but father/son finding a way to team up in the NFL). The Cowboys would likely have to include Dak in a deal while eating a chunk of his money owed and this would probably be the part that prevents it from ever happening.

I did get a kick out of this line from that article: "However, UNC general manager Mike Lombardi has once again shot down any rumblings of Belichick bolting Chapel Hill for the NFL." I don't think you'll ever find another sentence that best describes Mike Lombardi and his endless role as Bill's lapdog & mouthpiece.

I think their is a provision with Hoodie going to. NC that makes his son the defacto next HC after him so it will be interesting to see if NC holds that fire to Bills feet over these "Rumblings"

If Belichick was offered the Cowboys job, I think he would take it in a split second.

Frankly, i can't totally rule out that possibly happening, in my opinion.
