What is the best book (s) on US dimes 1796-1891?

Looking to add to my knowledge of these series. And add a few coins to my dime collection as well this year. But I have zero books except the red book. I am looking for books not based just on values.

If you go to the Liberty Seated Collector Club site you will also find a book by Brian Greer on Seated Dimes. There is a heading called online resources, it will show you a list of several books, (all free) , you can download or just use at the time. I sometimes find the Greer book is a little easier to use sometimes. Good luck no matter what you pursue. james

Also, I can suggest the MegaRed book covering dimes. I know that a very detailed discussion was done for each year. I think it was either the 3rd or 4th edition that covered the dimes.

I use the small booklet by Winston Zack (#3 posted by PeakRarities) and the seated dime attribution site:

Outside of attribution, I am not sure what books include the best historical information that are good reads.
