Based on the appearance of the coin (with what look to be plating bubbles) my guess is that it’s zinc, not bronze.

Looks bubbly around “Liberty”, so, I predict that “3.11 grams” written on paper before you weigh it does not mean it it is a copper planchet.
Avoid the autocorruption of “pennies” to “Penny’s” —“cents” is what we call them.
Fix the title, you’re not sending a text message.
Beside the bubbles, you can see the zinc core peeking through at the top of cent.
No need to buy a scale, it is not a copper coin, it is a zincoin worth 1 cent.
