Grading Turnaround Times

I have not sent in any cards to be graded in years. What has been the turnaround times for express service? Is it close to the 5 business days it says on website?

5 days starts after they log it in which can be from a week to a month. Express I would hope gets a log in priority

Arrived at PSA Dec 4, 2024
Logged in a month later, Jan 3, 2025

Part of the explanation for such delays is that subs are being shipped from California out to the new New Jersey office.
That is where my last sub came from, where I just got hammered.
On other forums, there are lots of complaints of grades coming from the Jersey office.

I sent an order in under a 2020-present holiday special. It's been "order arrived" status since Dec 9.

I had 2 pop in the last week or so. One came from NJ the other CA. The NJ one was really tough and the CA one was actually a little better than expected

WHy not just have the client ( me and you) mail the cards directly to NJ, wouldn't that save a week or so? Especially for the East coast guys.

Hey Swish, on the bright side, it should be logged in about 2 weeks or so, give or take a week. LOL!! Sorry to hear about this.

If the OP is pressed for time, SGC may be an option. My last order (11 cards) was received by SGC on 2 January, graded on 8 January. It's in post-grading processing today. Will probably ship today or tomorrow.

It actually changed to R/ID last night! Maybe I should have posted about it sooner to get the ball rolling

It seems the progress dates they provide may be automated to prevent showing more than 1 month after arrival.
Mine arrived Dec 4, research & ID Jan 3.
Yours Dec 9, then Jan 8.
Another poster said Nov 27, then Dec 26.
Coincidence? Maybe. No way of knowing when the order actually reaches each stage.
My last sub went from Assembly to Grades ready, to QA checks, to Complete, to Shipped WITH tracking number ALL on the same day at the same time, so I'm not too sure the dates provided are very accurate.

Yes definitely slowed down in December. And yes, the NJ office is grading way tougher than the CA office.

One of my 12/11 went to Research on 1/10 so you may be correct. I have one more 12/11 that is still pending
