ICCS canada 1964 cent

Hello everyone. A few months ago I won my first pcgs canada prooflike coin. When I saw it in hand I fell in love with these prooflike coins.

I recently won my first ICCS Canada coin. A 1964 cent. My question is how do you feel their grading standards are vs PCGS. Thanks!

Hard to tell what marks are plastic or which on the coin.

The two companies have different grading standards. PCGS is tough on the Cameo and Deep Cameo designation for PL coins. I think the marks @syl refers to are scuffs on the holder. My guess would be PL66CAM at PCGS. But the coin may not be worth submitting for cross grading unless you are trying to put a Registry set together.

Thanks. I have been working on a pl66dcam set. Just need a dcam cent and 5 cent. I definitely like the look of the 50 cents.

  • PCGS requires the cameo to be on both sides......ICCS only the obverse....Depending where you are, it's going to cost about $50 usd at least to get PCGS grading....1964 is NOT a tough year for cameo strikes.....they are very plentiful....here is an example of 1964 1 Cent PCGS PL66CAM selling for $28 usd....
