Does PCGS include Genuine Grades & other non-straight graded coins in the Registry?

If so, how are they incorporated into the point scoring? I used to own a rather nice 1813 Large Cent, but I let it go because it wasn't straight graded with some regrets.

I found this under the "RULES" on the PCGS website. It looks like the coin would be given a "P01" grade except in "Low Ball" sets.

    Hope this helps.

    Genuine Only
Coins certified as genuine by PCGS but ungraded can be used in all competitive sets except for Low Ball. The grade for genuine-no grade coins will default to P01. PCGS sample coins which do not carry a unique certification number and are listed as "Genuine-PCGS Sample" in the PCGS Cert Verification do not qualify for set registration.

The scoring is the weighting times 1. So a coin with weight of 6 (that, for example, would score 180 for a VF30) gets a score of 6.

Thank-you, guys. I was asking mainly because I opted to stay within the Registry then, and now during last night's Heritage auction of Ellsworth Large Cents. Some of the coins I was interested in went for double or more what I expected, but some of the really high end coins went for half of what I estimated. Weird.

I had my eye on a nice 1813, but I was blown out, way out. Argh.

Certified yet unable to straight grade will be accepted to registry sets with a grade of N1 and mine have a rating of 1.00 since they have a weight of 1 in the composition. I have two examples in my Cal fractional type set.

NGC METHODOLOGY FOR POINTS FOR A DETAILS COIN
    IS MUCH MORE KIND/ REASONABLE.
MANY OF THESE COINS ARE VERY COLLECTABLE AND SHOULD NOT BE PENALIZED TO THE EXTREME EXTENT OF PO1.
