That doesn’t sound good 😯

Sounds like my local coin club.
did they have a facebook group?
Sounds like many organizations, numismatic or otherwise, throughout the USA.
That is unfortunate and kinda sad. Time to regroup. Good luck to the Indianans.

We are called HOOSIERS,,,, not Indianans.
Never like to see these declines. Hope the remaining members can somewhat regroup, however much interest is left.
Sad news.
Indicative of the times and not a harbinger of doom, in my view. Social media has replaced many in person events. Lots more engagement and information available on-line accessible 24/7.

Not much happening in Indiana these days or on most days I'd suspect? Sine-O-da-Timz??
Team Left vs Team Right? Ra-Ra, Go team!!! Blame each other. It's all our fault. LL!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

It’s unfortunate, but the announcement stated that they could find no volunteers to run the organization. As such, this is similar to what we see in all organizations. That is, if you don’t replace those volunteers with a passion to get it done, you don’t have the organization.

The world changes.
Once upon a time, I always went to Sears for my needs (almost whatever those needs were). Now Sears is gone.
The internet changes things. The fact that an organization like this one dies is more an indicator of demographics (we old farts are dying off) than of the health of the hobby.
Almost 50 years ago, my brand-new wife and I went to a luncheon at our college's "faculty club." We walked in, and we were the only ones on the shy side of 60. Oops. It's still a shudder-moment for us.
Younger folks, I suspect, have no interest in getting together with old farts to look at coins, or discuss coins, or whatever. But it doesn't mean that no younger folks are interested in this hobby.
While I’ve always lived on the East coast (except for four years in college in Kansas), I’m saddened to hear this, as I have a positive memory of the Indiana State Numismatic Association. Back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, in addition to coins, I used to collect “Souvenir Cards”. These were items on card stock of roughly 9” x 12” or so, where imprints of U.S. currency and/or stamps were made, usually from the original plates. I seem to recall buying several issues around that time made by the ISNA.
So sad they’re now gone! 😢

My collecting “Pride & Joy” is my PCGS Registry Dansco 7070 Set:

Everyone is too busy with Basketball right now, they should try to get volunteers in May. It is like this in all sorts of organizations where the leadership is voluntary. That fact has given way to an adage --- "The easiest way to get elected is to complain about how things are getting done."
I was able to get a broken Craftsman socket wrench ($40 value) replaced at Lowes so the lifetime warranty lives on!
Do you belong to a local club? What have you observed as far as membership and/or interest over the past few years?
So VERY sad!
