ASE tube alert
Happy New Year
I apologize if this subject was already discussed. I was reading some posts when I remember this issue and was not sure if it was discussed before.
It appears they’re a a couple of different size ASE tubes, and if i remember correctly one is taller than the other. Each size holds 20 ASE.
I have noticed a few times this past year, even at B&Ms, that from the outside the tube looks full but there are only 19 ASE in the tube, 20 would not fit. The ASEs are real (non-magnetic, correct weight, sigma passed) and it appears the rim was thicker than normal. Some dealers i know had tubes in their inventory that were short and they didn’t know it. How many of us have full tubes with only 19 ASEs in them? 🤔
Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures and I didn’t record any of dates to see if there was a trend.

I seem to remember either the 2003 or 2006 tubes being shorter. Never an issue for me. I always verify the quantity and authenticity of every tube I ever purchased. Very easy to have a few fakes salted in a tube of good ASEs. Check them all, I don't care where you think they came from. RGDS!
The whole worlds off its rocker, buy Gold™.

While authentic US mint ASE tubes may have slightly different heights (change in supplier?) they will always hold 20 coins. And they will always have the TREASURY US MINT logo on the green cap.
Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.
if it works, fix it
