1957 Wheat Cent with the number "5" not looking right?

Ok guys, is this a die issue or some other minting malady? I hope these pics are clear enough for you to judge. And as always thank y'all

    Just a die chip in the flag portion of the numeral 5. Very common does not add value and only limited interest to a small handful of collectors that like this type of manufacturing defect.

    It is a cool die chip. Unfortunately does not add much value, as mentioned above.

    We use to call them "clog 5". Or "clog 9" as the case may be if the die chip is on the 9. Not of great value but fun to find one in circulation.

  • Again, thanks for yawls time on theses novice quarries. Maybe someday it will be a bit more rare or difficult.
