1793 Large Penny’s

Finally, I completed acquiring all three 1793 Large cents. Not pretty, but what was available and affordable. My question is: How many estimated sets of all three 1793 Large cents could there be?

I would say the limiting factor would be the Liberty cap, they are the rarest. You could try to find the estimated number of surviving examples and go from there. Any chance of pictures? Any 1793 is pretty in my eyes!

Your other post was correct, it is a cent, not a penny.
Could you please post clear photos of both sides of your 1793 cents.

  • ICutler, thanks. Using the Liberty cap as the basis for population is probably as close as one a get. I thought that possibly there was another census out there.
