Can You Share a Picture of Your Gold/Silver Bars?

Hi everyone! I’m curious to see the different types of gold and silver bars everyone here owns. Whether it's a classic gold bar or a unique silver piece, I’d love to see them. Feel free to share any interesting details about your bars, like the weight, purity, or where you got them. Let’s get some inspiration from each other

The numbers on the 1000oz bars go from 1 to 29 then skip to 36.

    Inflation?

Look at the #10 bar. Looks like they had a problem writing a zero vertically. But they nailed #20.

They also appear to be significantly underweight based on the numbers written on the top. BRICS bars perhaps? THKS!

    Not BRICS bars.

They are your SLV bars (which diminish by half a percent every year). :D

    PS:
How do you know that the written numbers are inaccurate ?

You likely do not realize it, but COMEX-compliant bars can range in weight from 900 troy oz to 1,100 troy oz.

Virtually every 1000 oz bar is a poured bar that is either a little more or a little less than 1000 oz with the exact weight marked on the bar with a magic marker.

Sounds like a typical gutter stacker. Gee, why pay and receive 1000oz when I can pay for 1000 and receive 932. LOL. I like my metals full weight. No underweight gutter bars for me. I'll stick with the SLV RGDS!

Really ? Your reading comprehension is abysmal. The post clearly states they were not my bars and you along with a few of your sidekicks honestly miss the point of most (PM) threads.

They are always sold as actual weight.

The one's I've seen have the actual weight marked on them to the tenth of an ounce using a marker. All bullion dealers always charge based on the actual weight and to think otherwise is just plain foolish.

Yes, the OP would have been more accurate in stating "1000-oz class" bars than literal "1,000-oz" bars.
Regardless, five of these 900+ troy-oz silver bars will satisfy one COMEX 5,000-oz contract.

A specific COMEX 5,000-troy-oz silver contract does not have specific bars allocated to it. This is obviously the case since there are far more paper contracts on COMEX then there is actual silver bars held by COMEX.

If physical delivery of a contract is made, the final settlement money will take into account the actual (exact) weight of the bars delivered. So nobody is actually transacting a 932 troy oz bar with a payment based on 1,000-oz.

I’m so sorry, your Highness. Perhaps I should assign them an HK number , like “So Called Dollars” in numismatics ….. “So called” 1000 oz bars. Again….. molehill is to mountain what bars are to saloons. You knew they were referred to as 1000 ouncers, or didn’t you ? Obviously not, since you preferred to make a sidetracked spectacle out of them. Moving right along children.
