Turning alum and copper into Gold

I am an electrician, and I would like to turn my copper and alum into gold
it's not a huge amount of money, but it does add up week after week

What are the top manufactures of gold bars with the best bang for the buck?

    That's what I originally thought from title, but reading that the OP is an Electrician, they are probably planning to use the money they get from scrap wire and etc. buy gold.

    Many on here have mixed feelings about buying gold bars vs coins. Depending on how much you plan to spend, there is a Costco thread here that tracks the low premium bullion they sell on the Costco website. Or there is another thread asking where people buy thier bullion that has lots of reputable online sellers.

    yes, for resale purposes best to avoid bars and stick with US, Canadian or Australian minted coins.
