Numismatic Crime Information Center Support Needed

"Targeting Numismatic Crimes Around the World"

We are reaching out during a critical time for the numismatic industry. Across the nation, our community of collectors, dealers, and numismatic experts has witnessed an unprecedented surge in criminal activity, from robbery and theft to postal losses and organized burglary. Today, more than ever, we need your help to support the Numismatic Crime Information Center (NCIC), an invaluable resource that serves as the primary investigative support hub for law enforcement, collectors, and dealers affected by numismatic crime.

The criminal landscape has shifted; we are seeing highly organized criminal groups leveraging sophisticated technology—such as Wi-Fi jammers, tracking devices, and advanced surveillance techniques—to target high-value collections and dealers. In response to these developments, NCIC provides vital resources to ensure that law enforcement and the numismatic community remain one step ahead of these threats. The free services NCIC offers are critical in both investigating and preventing numismatic crime.

However, NCIC cannot do it alone. It is essential for our industry to unite, and for our collector community to support the NCIC's efforts. By fostering collaboration between collectors, dealers, and law enforcement, we can better address and mitigate these rising threats. NCIC plays a pivotal role by analyzing and communicating trends in numismatic crime, offering patterns that aid investigations and help to inform strategic preventative measures.

To continue providing these essential investigative resources free of charge, we need your support. Your donation directly empowers NCIC to maintain and expand its services, helping to protect the collections and livelihoods of countless individuals across our industry. Together, we can ensure that NCIC remains a stronghold against numismatic crime and that these essential resources are available for those who need them most.

Please join us in supporting NCIC. By doing so, you are contributing to the security of our entire community and helping protect the future of numismatics. NCIC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and funded solely by financial from the numismatic community and Industry. Donations can be made at www.numismaticcrimes.org or mail to P.O. Box 14080 Arlington, Texas 76094.

Thank you for standing with us on this important cause.

The ANA, PNG and other numismatic organizations and clubs should be a big part of NCIC funding, too. Are they? To what extent?

Private donations are important, too, and I'd encourage all to give. We need to be thankful that we have Doug Davis and others looking out for OUR interests.

Will NCIC have a table at the FUN show? That could be a way to raise donations for the cause. FUN might even offer a free table for the cause. I'm just guessing.

I'd like to see them interact with top notch private detectives with cutting edge interdiction methods and solutions. One private eye I heard from had a lot of recommendations and said he was not impressed with their website.

I think that they do some sort of outreach education with police departments but coordinated efforts or education with private detectives seems like a good idea, too. The more people that are better educated, the better.

Go after all the counterfeit coins on eBay. I’d be happy to donate.

I think that contributions to them are, indeed, tax deductible already.

we need to start tracking the thieves and punishing them in horrible numismatic ways, like forcing them to stand up and stay awake for days listening to painfully loud EAC lectures about newly discovered die states until they give up their whole crew, then find them and do the same - that's what happens when you follow a dealer to Wendy's
