Great thread! I really enjoyed reading that. And what a friend Mr. Mickley had in Mr. Young! You could really feel the appreciation he had holding that coin at long last.
The English language has definitely degraded over the years. People sure had a way of speaking

This coin went DOWN quite substantially in value between 2013 and 2018 and was flat for the five prior years. Present owner is in it at a relatively good number. But the coin ain't as "pristine" as billed anymore.
Amazing how Mr Young suspected that the 1804 likely came from some other collector’s cabinet.
This is a centuries-old story that repeats itself again and again. Ethical quandaries aside, it’s amazing how often it happens.
