Let's see - two weeks after the ANA and three weeks before the Great American Coins & Collectibles Show in Chicago. Schedule's getting pretty crowded, isn't it?

We hear you! Those are all great shows, no doubt. But here's a thought — where would you rather spend your time? Nashville has its own unique charm, and with IMEX on board, you can expect some fresh, innovative ideas that you won't want to miss. It’s shaping up to be a show that’s well worth the trip!

Best wishes, but please dial back the hype.

Another show east of the Mississippi. AS almost all are. Tampa Bay show was a crash as many dealers told me.
The westerner collectors are very much ignored . I don't travel cross country to such shows anymore . I can use the money to buy at the many online auctions and get great coins. I know east coast dealers conversely hate coming to the west coast anymore., many boycotted the last ANA show in Anahiem 2016, and many Long Beach shows presently. Has anyone else realized this great split/ devide in the collector show circuit.
The ANA WFOM this year in Oklahoma city may bring in some westerners . We will see?
I hear many eastern dealers though already complaining of the location .

Nashville is still pretty far away from the folks in upper east TN as Tennessee is a long state. Doubt Ill make the 5hr treck but if I cand find another excuse to go, it may be worth it then.!

Everyone I've spoken to, from anywhere in the country, is unhappy about OKC. I won't be going.

I probably won't go to IMEX either but will be a lot more likely (even coming from the west coast) because there are direct flights. And Nashville is a lot more interesting of a city to visit than OKC.

Interesting, as of 11:30 on December 20th there is not one bit of info about it on the imex website. I would think it would of been posted there first. Wish you all the best of luck.

I heard a ton of negative things about the last one and not much positive, so I hope the show promoters have done a major overhaul to the show.

    Hope it booms.

    Why the coin show haters?

    Be positive

Because they over promised and under delivered in 2023, and now @ScarsdaleCoin is touting it as the "Largest & Most Exciting Coin Show in America!" That's why.

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." That's why.

We all only get one chance to make a first impression, and they have already made theirs. Now it's time to under promise and over deliver, rather than flat out stating that they are already "larger and more exciting" than around a half dozen other shows that are already well established, and far superior in every way.

Starting a thread in a very knowledgeable coin forum entitled "Get Ready for the Largest & Most Exciting Coin Show in America!" is an inauspicious start on the road to redemption after what people experienced at IMEX 2023.

And an insult to the intelligence of anyone who has ever attended one of the better shows in the country, and also either attended or read reports about IMEX 2023. Which is why there was no IMEX 2024, ahead of IMEX 2025, "the Largest & Most Exciting Coin Show in America!" That's why.

We all "hope it booms." But, after the last time, most of us know better, and don't appreciate being spoken to as if we have the memory of a fruit fly, and no actual awareness of anything happening in the world of numismatics.

A headline like the one on the top of this thread belongs in a general print publication, right next to an ad for obsolete 1921 Morgan Dollars in Fine or better condition for the low, low price of only $99 each, with a strict order limit of 20 per customer, rather than in this forum. That's why.

Yeah, but, to give them the benefit of the doubt, it IS 9 months away, so it's not a cardinal sin for them to not yet have a website up and running.

Only @ScarsdaleCoin can say why he felt the need to start this thread now, but, given how the last show went, the fact that they don't have a functioning website promoting a September 2025 show in December 2024 will likely be the least of their problems.

Was it necessary to yell "Largest & Most Exciting Coin Show in America!" when everybody who reads this forum know it may not even be in the top ten? And I plan on attending.

I think he was being facetious with the exaggerated hype. :D

Sorry, but the content of the OP, plus the follow-up comments, lead me to believe he is part of the promotion team, and is dead serious. If not, this is his opportunity to set us all straight.

If you truly took everyone’s comments to heart you would have edited your thread title to something that was realistic.
