Over on Blowout forum was reported Rocky has passed away at age 91. And Ryne cancer has returned.

    Sad to read… Colavito was immensely popular in Cleveland. One his best seasons was with the Tigers in 1961 and that was overshadowed by Maris and Mantle. What is ironic is the numbers put up by Calavito, Gentile and Killebrew and even Cash that year were all MVP worthy if done in just about any other season.

    Growing up and starting to follow the Indians in the early 60's I heard all about "The Rock" and the trade and then got to see him play when he returned. His prowess as a player aside, I always thought he had one of the coolest names for a player.

    To those of us who saw him play and grew up during that era in Cleveland he is indeed a Legend.
