Looks like a LC from the 1820s. My guess is 1886. Must have had a rough life.

That's just crazy talk.
It's obviously an 180P

Looks like an 1800/798 to my eyes.

I may be having a brain fart, but I don't think it is. The date is too compact to be a hairstyle 2 00/98.

Gosh - I messed up. let's try 1828. Sorry for the snafu

I agreed to the 1806 but then had a look at the date a bit closer and now I'm thinking 1802.
i'll look for another coin withe same die pairing that isn't corroded to heck. easy to tell.
The knob on the end of the 6 is very visible.
RIP Mom- 1932-2012
That's what I thought, then I looked at '06s and noticed that they didn't have a knob. So it's gotta be a 2...(I think)
Let’s not. An 1828 cent isn’t even the same type - it features a different portrait of Liberty facing left, not right.

It sounds like you’re describing an 1828 Half Cent, not a Large Cent. Either way, an 1828 would be a different design with Liberty facing left, not right.
