Well you have to say a little more than that to be convincing.
http://ProofCollection.Net
I have done business with them and have NO problems over the years!
What was the problem? what are the facts and only the facts not an opinion.
@jefbay just joined the coin forum on Saturday, and this is his first post?
Something is fishy here.
edited to add: And the guy that agreed with him joined on Friday.
I also have done business with them and have returned probably every coin I've purchased from them for a full refund. Their coins are sketchy, and I don't buy from them anymore, but they will happily refund your purchase price and were never rude to me. Therefore, I have no problems with Executive Coin. I just don't buy their coins.

Are we talking about certified coins? Are they misrepresenting them or juicing their pictures? There's nothing wrong with selling sub-par coins if they are represented honestly.

So you join this forum and slander a coin dealer who has been in business I'm guessing 40 years?
I know your hiding behind a VPN.
There's no problems with Executive Coin.

I have bought from them. I'm not sure if any of my purchases were of certified material, but I do know I've bought a few raw coins from them for my albums. I think they were well represented. I have not returned any. My guess is that when they buy a collection they send some of the higher value coins off to be slabbed, and sell the others raw.
Executive Coin is a very reputable, long-standing company.

We need details otherwise you have zero credibility. I've bought coins from this company without any problems. They were courteous, the shipping was fast, and the coins were accurately represented.

Their listings use glamor shots and they have been known to crackout and list but they have a no questions return policy and have a lot of collector coins. I have heard whispers of shill bidding and the like but even if true you ultimately set your own price.
Are they shepherding NEWBs though the pit falls of collecting, no. Are they unethical , not in my book. If one is so easy to get over on you should look in the mirror and thank the person who did it as they showed you your weakness. If you didn’t stumble with them it would have been the next transaction you did as a price shopper, to find out you got no deal after the fact is disingenuous about where the blame lays.

I have bought from them a couple of times (certified only) with no problems. Very courteous on the phone.
They just posted a few rather nice stickered large cents to eBay. Nice people in my experience.
What did you buy and why are you unhappy with the transaction?
What did they say that was rude. Did they say no to your low-ball offer?

Morgan13 and others: want details? Here's the story. I'm still waiting on a coin I purchased on Nov 21. My check has fully cleared, but they're afraid I will "take the money back." Idiots! Funds paid by a check which has cleared may only be returned by the bank if the buyer proves he has been defrauded. I posted a bad review. They took it down. I had someone else post the review instead. They took down ALL their Facebook reviews so nobody could tell it like it is. And then...not one, but FOUR phone calls from them, harassing me for leaving a bad review. I would never do business with a company that harasses a REPEAT customer. I urge caution when dealing with them.

Based on your demeanor here I suspect that you would have no problem rationalizing to yourself that you have been defrauded, thereby justifying - in your mind - a reversal of the check.
I assume you did something to make them suspicious of your intentions.
And you admitted to using a "friend" to post a bad review for them, and you've done something similar here to get an "agree" on your initial reduculous post.
Sorry, I'm siding with Executive Coin based on your behavior.
Well I had to "use a friend" because the company took my own review down so people wouldn't see a bad review. I call that dishonest. Also, I'm not looking for support, just putting this out as a warning. It's up to you.
Does seem odd but perhaps the holiday slowed the mail down. Have you received the coin yet?
They are holding my November 21 purchase until December 16. That seems a bit unreasonable for a repeat customer, just because I paid by check. As I pointed out, I can't take the money back once they send me the coin, so why wait at all once the check has cleared?
I'd have to see the entire communication exchange between yourself and Executive Coin to make an informed decision.
My Carson City Morgan Registry Set
Wait, they are going to give you the coin but with a delay to secure funding of the check...
And you are complaining that they are being dishonest and rude?
I think you need to reevaluate how you react to minor inconveniences.
The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.
If purchase was 11/21, when was the check mailed? When was it received? When did you see the funds leave your account? I’ve been told by my bank that funds will show up in your account after depositing but in the rare case it’s a fake check or there are not enough funds to cover it, it can be reversed. Therefore in large ticket items, they told me to wait a week or so after funds show up in the account to make sure it’s not reversed. That’s likely what is happening here. And if you started acting mean or threatening they probably REALLY want to make sure it’s fully cleared so you don’t try to stop the check or something.
The check cleared on Dec 2, and they want to wait another 2 weeks to mail it. I'm just asking...why? And the dishonesty has nothing to do with not getting the coin, it has to do with removing negative comments from their Facebook page, and only keeping the good ones. And the rudeness? Calling me four separate times at home to complain that I left a negative review? I mean, who does that?
Hi all.
Zack at Executive Coin here. I got alerted about this thread through some other dealers as they all know what's going on as well. I wanted to give a little more clarity here as the customer isn't giving the full story.
We received his order on our website on November 21st. We received his check on December 2nd and deposited that day. Our company has a policy that once deposited, we hold check by mail orders for 10 business days. This would make the shipment date December 16th. We sent an email confirmation of this info to Jeff on December 3rd. Our email was the following...
Jeff,
Your payment for order #W******* has been received and is being processed. Your order is scheduled to ship 12/16/2024. We will email you the tracking on that date. Thank you for your business!

Sincerely,
TECC
Jeff's response to this email was, and I'm going to bleep something out as I don't know if it is allowed on this forum...
Why are you withholding my order when my check has cleared already? What the ****? I've made my last purchase from Exec.
After this, he went to BBB to file a complaint. The BBB has sided with us on this issue, but his response was as follows...
"It doesn't matter what the "company policy" is. It is illegal to place a hold on goods that have been paid for. As someone who worked for the Federal Reserve Bank for many years, I can assure you that once a check has cleared it CANNOT be taken back. I request that Executive Coin ship my purchase IMMEDIATELY or I will pursue legal action."
He is correct. We called 4 times over the span of 2 days to try to rectify and explain why our company policy is what it is. Each time when I was trying to explain how there is fraud in our industry, he became very angry, raised his voice, cursed, and eventually hung up on me.
I sent him some emails to hopefully calm him down giving him examples of many other large companies that have holding periods on check by mail orders as well as links to the FTC talking about how checks can bounce even after clearing as well as companies having the right to hold funds for a period of time if a company states when the items will ship (which we clearly did). I asked him if he received these emails, but his response on the phone was that his inbox is empty and he did not receive them.
I hope this information clears things up for everyone following along. We here at Executive Coin appreciate all of your business over the past 30+ years.
Have a great holiday season,
Zack
Trying to rectify? My wife and I were ATTACKED. Screw you, Zack. And I never received any emails.

Hi Jeff.
No attacking was done via phone. All that I ever tried to do was explain our company policy which you said was Illegal. I never once got to finish a sentence as you just yelled and swore at me, eventually hanging up. If you didn't receive the emails, here they are below...
By sending a check, you agreed to the 10 day hold, OP. What are you even complaining about?
Early American Copper, Bust and Seated.
Breathe , brother.
I just don't believe how rude and impatient some people can be.
Heck two weeks is nothing. I've has stuff in the past on layaway for 3 months and nobody hounded me for money. Different scenario except for one thing "the money". I believe the people at Executive have every right to protect their good name.
I don't think anyone on this forum ever doubted Executive's integrity so your safe here.

I don't get it. If you don't agree with the 10 day policy why did you use a check or do business with them? How dare a company follow its published policies!

Am I the only one that's curious what the coin is that's the center of all this turmoil?

I for one only take the side of the overly emotional anonymous posters on the internet when they clearly are vindictively out for revenge while hyperventilating over a keyboard. If you can’t take their side to the bank I don’t know what to believe in anymore

I'm glad this thread didn't get closed this morning before @TECC1990 had a chance to reply.
We received a check on 11/6 from a new customer. We deposited it right away, and shipped the items on 11/14. We didn't get notification until 11/22 that the check was fake. Had we given it the time that Executive gives their check payments to clear, we would not have have gotten burned for close to $20,000.
Good to hear.... the rest of the story.
It's their Facebook page not yours!
Google and Facebook have the option to remove nonsense reviews, which yours was. They followed their policy that you agreed to when you decided to pay by check. Take a deep breath. I understand you’re upset, but nothing wrong or shady was done by the company. You still have time to admit you made a mistake and save yourself a little grace.
I am glad Executive Coin weighed on. The truth is about what I expected it was.
And the OP, who apparently claims to have been a Fed employee at one time, is flat out wrong that a "cleared" deposited check can't be pulled back or bounced. It's a major problem with various scams that a fake check doesn't always get caught until after the clearing period.
Perhaps things have changed or are changing, but historically in the US a check "cleared" simply by not bouncing within a certain time frame. There was no actual confirmation that the funds were actually paid. Never mind the chance to pull back a check.
Sorry. We're all with Zack. His story makes sense.
Happy Holidays!
This is exactly the point. It isn't Jeff calling back the funds that is the issue.
Welcome to the forum, Zack.
That was an excellent, convincing post. I can’t say the same for any of the posts by the person who started this thread.

I purchased from Executive Coin just within the last few weeks, as well as several years ago. The coins are great, good for the grade or much better, and I am happy. If the Original Poster had just used some other form of payment all his angst could have been avoided. I call this a self-inflicted wound.
