In the classifieds what does "net" or, "net to me" mean?

I’m going to guess, but for a seller, it’s the amount left after selling expenses, such as fees imposed, etc.

Example - If you consign a coin to an auction, and the hammer price is $100, and the fees imposed on the seller/consignor is $15, you will net $85.

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!

"Net to me" is often used when the seller accepts PayPal and if you use regular PayPal that has a fee for the recipient then they want that tacked on to the payment so their net payment received is the price they were looking for. (i.e.: You pay the PayPal fees). Maybe it works the same for other payment platforms as well.
