It's fake. Crack in the feather gives it away. How much did you get it for?

Would have been about a third of that if y'all hadn't taught me the diagnostics last week. Sorry for driving the price up on you, but that was a pretty nice one compared to others shared in the counterfeit thread.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

For the grade, it went cheap IMHO.
    My top bid was $111.55

Do you have it in hand? The obverse edge is odd from 4 to 6 o'clock for a 'worn' coin Is that PMD or fake strike problem?

nice pick-up, but why do you want a fake coin?

For me, to pull it out of circulation and have it slabbed as a counterfeit.

Good eye! I noticed that one too, but wouldn't have guessed it was counterfeit (contemporary?). I thought something was off about it, so I put it on my watchlist, but I decided it was just damaged and removed it.

    Yes.
Like the Henning nickel and contemporary bogus Bust half dollars and Trimes, some of these older conterfeits have stories to tell that are intriquing and interesting to me.
