Unlimited Substitutions in MLB

The Golden at bat topic got me thinking. should MLB allow unlimited substitutions like in Basketball, football and hockey?

does anyone know why MLB was set up this way to begin with? would it make the game unwatchable with the constant subbing of pitching that I am sure would take place?

I don't think we can take anything off the table with Manfred at this point. very little would surprise me.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Unless they are determined on a professional level, to destroy the best summer game ever invented.

You destroy all the strategy with unlimited substitution. You just have a couple of sprinters you put in any time someone gets on base that isnt the fastest, remove your big hitters that arent the best defensively etc. Technically you could just take a Othani and keep subbing him in and out so he gets every single at bat in the game

Wisconsin 2-6 against the SEC since 2007

That would be fun trying to keep up with stats, and all the records.

I remember telling my friends this is where we were heading when they started that ridiculous Designated hitter rule.

How bout, in a blowout game, any fan with a thousand bucks can pinch hit. With proper release forms, though.
