Dunno why they'd want him, but oh well. Milwaukee's cleaning house, they've got like 8 Free Agents next year.

They want him cause he is a decent player that can coem off the bench or start at third for them. And Beltre hasn't been living up to his expectations so thats another reason they want him. I like this trade for the Brewers. We get 2 minor league pitchers, one in AAA and one in high A (who was the #1 dodger pick in 00). That guy in A ball has not been living close to his potential and the guy at AAA has a 4.17 ERA, although I have heard that cashman field is a nice hitters park. The Brewers were going to lose Houston at the end of the year anyways, so why not get rid of him? They are going to lose 100 games with or without him. If the guys in the trade turn out to be busts so what, its not like we'll be crying that we didnt get to see houston for the last half of the year. Brewers are dumping everyone like they should be and taking anything they can get.

I also believe it was a good trade for Milwaukee. How long have they been re-building now? It seems like forever. They should have just stayed in the AL where they ATLEAST had a little bit of success. They've come to the NL and sucked royally...ah well...I guess a low-market team can't help that. Maybe they could borrow some money from Mr. I love to Buy Championships Steinbrenner...
