What sort of help would you like to get without posting a picture?

Severe environmental damage. Very little value above face value.

If you are going to weigh coins, you will have to get an accurate scale to two decimal points.
One decimal point is not accurate enough. Also you have to account for the +- tolerance in
the weight of the coin and the weight lost through damage and circulation. There is nothing
unusual about the weight of your nickel.

No, a buffalo nickel should weigh 5 grams and your is almost 20% light. You don't need a scale with with accuracy to an extra decimal point to determine that this coin is significantly lighter than it should be.

Several people responded but nobody was good (nice) enough to tell you that your coin is corroded and that's probably why it's underweight. It's a damaged coin, worth less than an undamaged one would be worth. Value is about $1, give or take a bit.

Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.
