Coins that went goodbye (2024 version)

As I begin to reflect on the year that was, here are some cool coins that found new homes in 2024.

PCGS MS 62 (ex-NGC MS 62)....nice color on a popular Silver Commem...I have a nicer example (in my opinion) in my main collection so felt like it was time to clear out a so called "duplicate" (now it wasn't easy but I can't keep them all).

1989 Eagles...these were two vivid proof toners and I debated which one to keep for a while; it turned out that I sold both when I acquired a cool 1987 proof. Plus I felt that the toned Eagle "hoard" (well not a hoard as it was only a handful but still more than I "needed") was getting a bit too big.

1958-D MS 66 CAC Quarter ....a common date with not so common color. This quarter had a great combo of toning and luster. It was another that I reluctantly let go of but the price was right (at this year's ANA show) and I have another example for the type already in my main set.

A lovely Morgan with the typical San Francisco mint luster (and it was semi prooflike); this was a fairly expensive purchase (for me) from Legend. I wasn't actively trying to sell it but when a guy who really appreciated it asked, I let it go.

(2011 NGC PF 69 UCAM)...an interesting modern from Kyrgyzstan, this coin also was a COTY category winner (as seen in the snippet below-photo of slab follows it). I have a different coin from Kyrgyzstan in my ex-Soviet nations set so this was the one I decided to move along.

A cool pair of related items….Anacs MS 69 Dan Carr Open House Medal and a PCGS MS 69 trimetallic Fiji Dollar from the same series as Carr used for his overstrike (the only difference is that Carr used the Zebra while here we have Antelopes)...these went to a person on Coin Talk.
