I remember as a kid every time we went to Knotts Berry Farm I'd enjoy going and looking at the small coin display in Ghost Town. A few of the coins were for sale while others were in a Show N' Tell glass case.
I was surprised to learn Knotts still has a few coins for sale- such as the ones shown below (purchased by a collector and featured in a thread running on Reddit.)

Kind of like the coins from Walgreens (or was it Woolworths) in the 1970s
I recall looking at various binders with old United States coins within. This album would be passed from one patron to another within the watchful eye of the shop keeper.
I have never seen photos of these coin binders yet based strictly on memory, created what I remember them to be like.
I made a replica of this album and placed coins within it I remember Knotts Berry Farm showing.
Here is my final project:

Is that nine dollars for a circulated 1943-S steel cent and nineteen dollars for a circulated 1940 Merc?

Yes. The pricing was out of hand, yet the nostalgia is keen.

I do not recall coins at Knott’s… However I suspect most will recall the massive bid board at Doyle’s Coin Palace Back in the day. And this store was about a mile or so from Knott- I think it was on La Palma in Buena Park and the cross street may have been Magnolia. This was even before TPG. Talk about a crowd… it was amazing.

Very cool… wow… that has some age to it. Looks like some higher bid numbers than I seem to recall. I am trying to recall when they moved.
Thanks for sharing. I think I tossed my lot/consignment winning cards with the bidding history

I posted about Knott's Berry Farm a few years ago. My family lived in Fullerton not far from there in the 1950s. That was before Disneyland opened nearby. I don't remember buying coins there but I did see a 1793 chain cent, the first one I had ever seen. The price was about $95. The store was named Miners Bank.
This really is turning into a trip down memory lane… a Fullerton collector would likely remember “Dee” Bishop, the owner of Fullerton Coins. I remember the Friday bid board there as well… we are now going back 50 years… where has the time gone?

Was this store located on Harbor Boulevard (it may have been Spadra Boulevard at the time) a block or so south of the Fox Theater?
I also remember a coin store at knots Berrry farm but I believe it was earlier, in the mid-50s. I recall riding my bicycle from Fullerton to Buena Park to visit the store. I am sure that I purchased some coins at that time, but have no idea now what they may have been. In those days, Knotts Berry farm did not charge admission to get into the park. Also, they had very few rides in the mid-50s.
Yes! Memory lane indeed!
I have a California fractional gold replica that I purchased there as a kid.
It’s a pretty good copy too!
I hadn’t remembered just where I got it until this thread jarred my memory.
I still have it though don’t have pictures handy on this device.
Great memories from 60+ years ago.

Not on Harbor Blvd. - Fullerton Coins was on Raymond Ave between Chapman and Commonwealth. I recall there being a coin store on Harbor in the mid to late 1980s- I recall going there multiple times but I can’t remember the name and It was not that far from Angelo & Vinci’s and the old Fox Theatre. And I am fairly certain that is the coin store you are thinking of.
