    1st- proof Morgans

    2nd- proof Gold

The beauty of these coins is staggering!
Each issue is rare, but these are top pops. Plus the 1864 Proof has an estimated survival of 12 pieces out of the 50 minted!
    Love love love!

Both coins are not only stunning and rare, but top pops! The 1864 is from a surviving group of 12 or some from the 50 minted!
    Love love love!

My initial primary set was the "Basic U.S. Coin Design Set (1792-present)" on the PCGS Registry set. I finished it last year.

My current primary set is the "Complete Dansco 7070 Modified Type Set (1796-Date)" I hope to complete it in 2025.

My second set is the "Complete U.S. Type Set (1792-1964)" on the PCGS Registry. I will never finish it. I'm just trying to go as far as funds and time will take me.

    So many lovely coins!
The Chain cent and Classic Head Cents were gorgeous. I never thought that I could get transfixed by a 1964 cent, but it happened!
Some other interesting dates and proofs like the 1868 3 Cent Silver and 1883 Liberty Seated Quarter, 1879 5C. Plus the early gold, even one in mint state!
    Quite a set!

Primary set is pillars, mostly from Lima and Potosi. That's about all I buy now.

Two secondary sets are my avatar coin (Lion & Castle 1/4R) and 1864-1909 Bolivian Republic decimals. I buy these very infrequently. Bought four 1/4 this year, 1803 and 1806 Bolivia duplicates.

That's all the budget I have, which likely won't be enough to complete any of it in the quality I will accept.

I recall our post exchanges on South Africa Union. Did you ever decide to collect it? Haven't seen you here in a while until now, so thought I'd ask.

    Hi WCC,

I haven't gone after any South African coins since that 1931 2 1/1 Shilling Coin at Bob's Shop. But I appreciate what I learned on the board and will only buy higher quality coins, of better key South African coins. Also I remember your point that these coins will be bidded on stronger by South African's, Britts and some other countries.

My first set is Morgan Dollars. I’m a little over 90% or the way to completing an all CAC set which includes major variates.

My 2nd set is Peace Dollars. I have a complete set with all but two in CAC.
