Curious About Historic Forum Pictures

I had posted a while back a 190 or so 1883 no cent nickels in BU condition. I wanted to show someone the photos and the pictures in this forum are gone. How long does this forum hold pictures? Also lets say they hold pictures for a year can I repost for another year... Tks. Jim

The forum itself does not host images. If images are no longer available, it means the image hosting software is outdated. Take Photobucket, for example, which discontinued its free plan in 2017 and required a paid plan ($399 yearly) to embed images on external sites. I think part of the switch to the "new" forum software was to standardize image hosting to what it is now (a CDN - Content Delivery Network)

The forum must host pictures of you embed then in the post.

Back in the day, like 2004 or so, you had to have your pictures hosted somewhere else online in order to be able to post pictures here on the forum. I used to use a friends website to host the pictures. They shut down their website about 5 years later and all my old images disappeared out of the old threads here on the forums

Whatever images you upload to the forum get stored on us.v-cdn.net, not here (collectors.com).

Images uploaded to this forum stay embedded in the post, but images hosted on other sites and shown in a post can disappear if the hosting service changes or the hosting link destroyed.
