Major Glitch at the Mint - Check your Morgan and Peace Subscriptions!

All,
Long story short, I received an email from the Mint on Nov 7 to verify my account information and to "confirm your subscription information." I immediately checked my account, and it clearly said I had no active subscriptions.
Fast forward a couple weeks, and I randomly checked my credit card tonight, and sure enough, the mint charged me a ton for the upcoming reverse proof Morgan/Peace set. I immediately went to my Mint account, and whaddyaknow...subscriptions! I called up a handful of my friends, and a few had the same issue, as did my dad. Make note, all received the email on Nov 7 and checked their accounts which showed no subscriptions.
Have any others had similar situations here? Some of the coins have already shipped, so this is going to be a massive PITA.

I can't even log in to my account. Every time I have it try to reset my password it just goes into a black hole.

Darn. I was in there a week or so ago and I meant to cancel the reverse proofs. Now it might be too late. I cancelled just now but I think issue date is the 21st. :/

You can still pause / cancel the subscription. They ding your credit card with a temporary hold but that should go away if the Mint doesn't ship your order.

I got the email from the Mint, as well on the 7th. On the 16th the Mint charged my card and it is now in the "subscription processing" phase with an order # of US1772****.

  • I mentioned a similar situation here in July, but was told that it’s impossible and that I am wrong. Hope you get a better response.

Dropped down my Reverse proofs to 3 from 5 last week, then considered dropping to two but spaced it.

Got the preauthorization hit 3AM Monday 11-18-24.

I like Reverse Proof set so 645 bucks well spent on these way overpriced sets.

If I get flaws then a pair or more will go away, if I get an error then how cool is that ?

Anyone else notice the 2025 subscription guidelines require 3 successful orders before free budget shipping kicks in ?

That sounds like the regular shipping arrangements that many they are dropping the free shipping on subscriptions. :/

I fear I may have canceled too late so I'll see what I get and then consider a return.

I had this problem recently. Try using your old username (rather than email address). The new website (after the recent redesign) is prompting to log in with an email address, but I'm only able to log in using my username.

I just called the mint. I cancelled my subscription online last night but it was not in time for this year. The order was going to ship.

BUT...I called to speak to a real person and she couldn't have been nicer, and she was able to CANCEL my order! 🥳

I was too slow on the uncirculated dollars this year but I like those the best in the series anyway, so I'm OK with that. But I cancelled the proofs and now the reverse proofs. I'm out! And it feels good!

I was done with the mint years ago and it felt good.

I feel like I dodged a bullet here. Must be a lot of cancellations going on. Wouldn't you hate to find out that a new variety was discovered right after cancelling.

    I'll take my chances. :D

It's very liberating to be free from mindless participation in a constantly expanding list of "collector" products.

It used to be that the mint made coins and collectors decided what was collectable. It seems that now we're just being herded like sheep.

I have examples of all the various finishes of the modern Morgan and Peace dollars, but I'll mostly maintain that as a type set, not a year set.

    Same!

And I have little if any interest in the latest coinage not because I don't like it but because there's no challenge well, aside from being the 19th caller.

I like hunting the old moderns it seems to be the only fertile ground left for raw coins.

Canceled my rev proof Morgan and peace dollars awhile back. I figure I will just purchase some 70’s from the after sale sale since the mint ruined all the fun of the chase by upping the mintage. 1 think 150,000 would keep me interested.
