12/9/24: Thanks everyone, for the kind words on my friend's coin. The coin has currently been claimed as of early this morning.

So, first off, I have this in-hand. I'm helping a friend sell it. Until just a few months ago, this coin sat in a 2x2 from his grandfather and then his father. He didn't know about it until his father passed and he was having to go through everything. There weren't many coins, but there was this. I had posted about it on the US Coin Forum here and suggested he send it to PCGS. He did, it came back AU58.
Has not been sent anywhere else.

So, look for $2200 after any fees. Shipping will be free/included. I will ship it USPS Registered mail, unless the buyer wants something else that we agree on. Registered is usually the safest. Just takes a few days longer.

For payment, I'll accept cashier's check, personal checks from members I know or have strong references, paypal, venmo. Again, allow for any fees on your side.

These pics are from my cellphone, so they may not be glamour pics like some do. I've taken from a different angle to show any toning as well. If you have questions, PM me and I'll answer them.

I have a long history on the forum and have bought/sold items with zero issues and in the range from $20-$thousand$. If you feel you need references from me, just ask.
It's been awhile since I've posted pics here, so hopefully these come out.

Nice coin and one of my favorites. Owned a few of these through the years from au55 to ms63rb!

Thanks guys. Brings back memories of my 55/55 PCGS MS63 that I sold a couple of years ago.
This coin, the 55ddo, is one of my favorites in US history. So clearly doubled to see with naked eye

This is on my list of "wants." However, I am trying to complete my Barber Half series at the moment and have the tougher dates left, otherwise, I'd take this off your hands.

Just FYI, if someone PMs me, I may be delayed in responding.
I live in the part of WA that just got hit with the "Bomb Cyclone" winds and I am part of the hundreds of thousands still without power.
Can only get online sporadically right now, with my spotty cell service.

Very nice 1955 DDO cent for the assigned grade as it looks like PCGS is grading tough to compete with CACG.

I happen to own two of them in PCGS in AU-58 one of them with a green sticker and another one with a gold sticker!

The latter was a pretty ANACS MS-60 that PCGS downgraded to AU-58 14 years ago and I celebrated instead of getting angry as I knew it meant a rare gold sticker!

Hey oreville, I'm sure that Anacs coin is the one you got from me many years ago. I knew it was a fantastic coin and am happy to hear that it's still in good hands.

    Trade $'s

Thanks. I agree it does look nice in hand.
A little better than another AU-58 I owned about 18 years ago.
I've also owned a MS63BN that was amazing.

This one, I guarantee, has NOT been to CAC. Not sure how they would see it, though if I were to own it, I would send it in.
My friend joined PCGS just to get it graded, before he even asked me, as I would have sent it in for him, then he handed it to me to sell for him. I explained CAC to him, but he just wanted to sell it and so I am/did...in time for extra $$$ for him and his family for Christmas (they have a lot going on right now, so this will help)
