Hi there!
Let me introduce my project - the Coin Register app (for iPhones).
Coin Register is designed for those numismatists who need a convenient tool for keeping track of personal coin collections. Coin Register offers everything you need to manage your collection. Describe, grade and catalog each coin, make detailed notes on the origin, era, condition of coins and much more. Create a thematic collections and distribute coins by them.

We would be very grateful if you send us your opinion about Coin Register. We are interested in what you would like to change or add if it is not already in Coin Register.

I would try the app if I could upload photos of my raw bust halves. That would create a place on my mobile phone to look at all my halves in a single place, in which checking for upgrades and admiring the set together is easy.

Update: Can't try the app because it requires IOS 18.

  • Maybe in the future. It's too early to think about it. Need to fully work out the functionality in iOS, and then we can think about Android.

I also can't try due to iOS 18.
Maybe post some more screen shots, like scrolling down on the first photo.

Here is the screen where you can enter the coin's characteristics. I took 4 screenshots because there was not enough place on one.

Thank you, that is a pretty complete set of characteristics.
I think the only one I would suggest adding is Catalog Number (could be KM by default, but ideally should allow for others).

For each coin you can add three Catalogs with names, numbers and links to sites, if necessary. And also up to 5 links to any sites where there may be important information related to your coin.

Where is the database? Local on the phone or in the cloud? If cloud, is my data encrypted in transit? Encrypted in the DB?
Do I have access to my data from my laptop (I guess not since it’s not running iOS)?
Any bulk load capabilities? Export capabilities?
For serious collections, these kinds of apps are generally useless as when they are no longer supported, the data is trapped and useless.

Thank you for your questions. I will try to answer them thoroughly:

At this point, Coin Register data is stored locally on the user's iPhone, not in the cloud. It is not encrypted, but is securely protected by Apple's general device encryption.

In the future, iCloud integration will be added, which means that Coin Register data will be synced across all your Apple devices, including laptops and desktops.

Our nearest plans also include exporting and importing data in the Coin Register internal format. This exported file can be used for backup or to transfer data to another Apple devices. We have no plans exporting and importing in other formats yet, but we'd like to explore whether is demand fo that.

Your Coin Register data will be available to you even if we stop supporting it, but we plan to develop our app and our plans include not only adding backup, but also iPad and Mac support and much more.
