Might be a curse to start a Detroit Lions, headed to the Super Bowl thread.

So I won't.

Not gonna jump on the bandwagon after not watching the team since Barry Sanders was in the game, either.

First Lions game I attended was at Tiger Stadium. Long time ago.

Recall that there were lines painted over the base paths. That was old school.

I'm rooting for a Detroit vs Buffalo Super Bowl

Only because my Pats are out of the conversation.

After Detroit's win makes you wonder if it is destiny for the Lions to get to the SB. I like their coach and his enthusiasm. Players really play for him.

Not sure if this means anything or not, but the first MLB game I attended was the Yankees versus Tigers at the old Yankee Stadium.

There's a Detroit connection in there somewhere. 😉

If in the NFC, the Eagles don't get there as the Super Bowl representative, I'd like it to be the Lions.

Not my first game, but saw the Yankees vs Detroit at Tiger Stadium in 1969.

2 things I remember about Detroit. Reggie Jackson 1971 All Star game HR and Jose Feliciano performing the Nat. Anthem in 68 WS.

My biggest memories of Detroit are of watching Barry Sanders shred defenses and Cecil Fielder hitting a ball out of Tiger stadium. I think that may have been in 1990.

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

68 World Series. Coming back from a 3-1 deficit. All day games.

    :)
