Honolulu (HSNA) show report
I'll drop a short report in here from this show. I set up at my usual table for Fri-Sun this year. Tables were under populated this year, more than many before -- price per table seems higher, and fewer dealers made it out this year from the mainland. But that is likely a good thing for a guy like me, as I get more time with national dealers and wholesalers.
I had strong wholesale sales across Friday/Saturday, weaker public sales across the entire show. But the public was buying a bit. And selling a bit more. Unlike @Meltdown, 90% didn't budge, but I got sold a fair bit of it. Also got several proof buffs and a ton of raw morgans from walkins. Most dealers were offering 90% at 23x and buying at 20x. Rounds were ~33 to 35 per oz. Gold seemed snatched up by wholesalers if cheap enough, otherwise it sat.
On the wholesale side, I did business with Heritage, and two other regional/national players. Got to sell a 6 month's worth of accumulated stuff in a flurry of activity. Didn't have a chance to see the fresh stuff out at tables before the sharks had already circled....blood was in the water and many were pleased with their purchases.
I tried to get out early Sunday, had to fix some stuff at home before leaving today for a long trip to India. But the public just kept coming....so instead of leaving around 2, I didn't get home till 430. It was a great problem to have! In fact, last deal of the day was made on my empty table, everything was already packed to go!
I DID pick up an 1884 cc GSA toner, CAC graded, 64+. It's a stunner. No pics yet, been too busy doing the books. And I did get a chance to shop at Don Rinkor's table for a client. He got one of these two beauties....! (See photo). You get to guess which one...
A good fellow forum member and another dealer hung out behind the table with me. He's got a fun pic, maybe he can share it! We talked story, had a bunch of laughs, and I got generally derided left and right in good fun! A great time!
Food at the venue was terrible. Nearby food trucks were mo' bettah. Even an exploding hotdog was pretty awesome. Table colas were da bomb!
Hope you all had a good weekend. Off for India, and for those that served, thank you.

I have wanted to get to that show for years but have never made it there yet.
Nice report! Gorgeous cam dollars.
Don Rinkor has great inventory. Years back I got this one from him … for some strange reason I sold it 🥲 … I guess I was temporarily insane.
I don't think I could have parted with that....
Thanks for your report.
That GSA Morgan was indeed very nice. Even if a bit off center in the holder.
This thread is useless w/o pictures.

That show is definitely on my bucket list! I'll see if I can plan a trip next year to come and hang out. I need one of those exploding hot dogs.
