Portland Oregon annual coin show this past weekend!

This is a great show every year... sponsored by our local coin club, they get dealers from all over the Northwest.
It was Rockin' & Rollin' on Saturday when the doors opened, you couldn't hardly walk between the table spaces. I was set up just for fun with my buddy Mark. We've split a table the past couple years mostly because it's fun, profitable and makes room for another year of buying cool things.
This might be my last time for a while, I sold a lot of things I'd accumulated over the years that I just didn't appreciate much any more. I've been getting closer and closer to that box of 20 concept and it feels pretty good. Who am I kidding? It will more likely be 40ish but focused more on quality over quantity is the general idea.
Gold seemed to be selling pretty well from what I could see. I took some pretty good profit selling a $20 Lib & $10 Indian - I'll see about replacing those when/if the market corrects a little.
A lot of people had silver for sale but nobody was buying more than a bar or two at a time. One dealer friend had a LOT of silver out and mentioned he moved a crapload of 90% but very little premium tubes.
I sold maybe 10 ounces one or two ingots and vintage rounds at a time between $34 and $40 per oz.
I bought a few things over the weekend but haven't had any time to sit down and shoot photos just yet, I'll post them when I do.
Here's me & my friends table and a few general shots on the room. B)

Great report, thanks for sharing. I got there around 2PM on Saturday and was there for an hour and a half with good sized crowds. It was my first time at this show even though I live just 3 miles away and really liked the wide variety of dealers and coins available. I used it mostly to get to know some the regional dealers, all of whom said the show was going very well for them.

Nice! I’d attend that if it wasn’t such a slog of a drive for me.

    Thanks for the report.
Low ceiling coin shows feel claustrophobic (particularly if you are over six feet tall).
Reminds me of the Clifton show I have attended a few times.
