Please tell me what effect this small depression (on the cheek) has on my new purchase. Quite noticeable when tilted on a slant as are some of the hairlines.

Assuming from the straight grade (AU-53) it was done during minting but, I’d like some input please. I waited a long time for this coin to show up and I grabbed it. The depression was not visible in the auction pictures.

I know that if I notice it, then anyone who sees it will certainly have something to say about it.

Thank you,

John

It appears to be a strike through, probably a small blob of grease. As made, so its affect upon the collectability of the item will vary considerably from person to person.

Thanks. I thought that could be a possibility but looking for opinions.

The cheek depression doesn't appear to be PMD, the hairlines are far more concerning in a straight grade holder.
