When is coin "news" not news?

Answer... when you're the leading tabloid rag in my ol' hometown and you print a 7-month-old story with 7-month-old quotes as if it's breaking news.

Any numismatic news that makes it into a mainstream publication is a win for the hobby.

I feel like coin news can never be actual news, unless it's a crime.

The New York Post is not a leading tabloid rag. They publish stories no other media outlet will report. Whether it's today's news or 7 months ago, it's still news. They never claimed it was breaking news. It's just a human interest story, it's not that critical. I agree with @P0CKETCHANGE
