Any numismatic news that makes it into a mainstream publication is a win for the hobby.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

  • I feel like coin news can never be actual news, unless it's a crime.

The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.

The New York Post is not a leading tabloid rag. They publish stories no other media outlet will report. Whether it's today's news or 7 months ago, it's still news. They never claimed it was breaking news. It's just a human interest story, it's not that critical. I agree with @P0CKETCHANGE

Disclaimer: I'm not a dealer, trader, grader, investor or professional numismatist. I'm just a hobbyist. (To protect me but mostly you! 🤣 )

"The collection, currently held at an unidentified Philadelphia bank vault"

They are actually being sold at Stack's Bowers November Showcase auction.
